This wall mount is rock solid, maybe the best available. I needed to mount a Sony 65" TV out from a recessed wall alcove by 31". This mount handles the task with ease, stability, and additional extension to spare, and still allows for side to side, left/right angling, and rotational adjustments. Although I don't consider myself a handyman, I was able to attach the mount to the wall by myself; however, you do need to be able to lift the fairly heavy unit to whatever level you plan to mount it. The only assistance I needed from a friend was getting the TV up on the mount after the mount itself was installed. Some reviewers have noted that the up-down adjustment after the unit is installed is limited with this mount; that's true, so make sure you install it at the right level to begin with, erring slightly on the 'up' side (maybe 1 cm) to account for any downward shift when the weight of the tv is attached. I'm not inclined to remove a star for this.

I bought this mount to put my 60" Samsung 3d LED TV on the wall. The way my place is set up, if I got a mount that would extend far enough from the wall, I could pull my TV out from the wall, and angle it 90 degress and get a perfect, straight on view of it from my kitchen while I cook or entertain guests. The mount is incredible. My TV is pretty awesome, but guests get more blown away by the mount than anything (my mom even took a video of how it worked on her phone to show people). It wasn't that difficult to mount either. Finding studs, drilling holes, mounting to the wall and adjusting the mount to be centered on the wall took maybe less than an hour for myself and one friend to do. Don't expect to do this yourself, as the mount weighs about 70-80 pounds. It's incredible duty. It actually took longer to get the shelving installed under it and the cables run than it did to get the Chief wall mount set up. All in all, I couldn't be happier with it. It works INCREDIBLY well with no sag, sway, or any other issues. I believe, hands down, it's the best mount you can buy. If you're looking for a mount that can easily hold anything you attach to it, than this is the one for you.

Sometimes manufacturers disappoint their customers by only supplying the barest core-essentials for the installation and use of the product. Not true in this case. Not to oversell, however, ALL of the detailed specs, illustrations, directions, hint/tips and materials & hardware were supplied and well explained. I'm a bit picky about workmanship. I fully appreciate Chief's mount and its solid contruction and smooth finish. All bolts, spacers, and washers were included for the frame AND the TV interface bracket. This mount extends 37" from the wall and supports our Panasonic Plasma with ease. There are adjustable bolts to increase/decrease the tension for the movement of the arms, rotataion, pitch, tilt and pivot. This mount delivers professional results all the way. Once you find the center of the studs, you are golden! My wife even complimented me on the results in front of her friends. It's good. We have a 55" super light TV. It could be a little hard to close all the way.
