Screen quality is great, build quality lacks that certain something for the price tag and within 3 minutes of setting it up, it keeps falling. Magnets are not upto par for the job! Unfortunately there is no stand to place it on for a vertical monitor either! Disappointed.

Additional monitor is awesome- very easy to install and fits perfect on my dell. I wanted something temporary to use for travel and vacations and this is perfect. I bought little round magnetic tabs (Walmart) in the craft department to place on the bottom so I can detach and pack it separately if needed on the road. A great buy- many of my colleagues who work remote and travel have purchased this item

The media could not be loaded. Schon zu Beginn des Jahres hatte ich mir für einen DUEX Plus Monitor auf der Mobile Pixels Seite bestellt. Ich war von dem Design schwer angetan und habe es dann täglich im Beruf und auch im privaten Leben genutzt. Ich habe mir nun noch einen zweiten - den Mobile Pixels Duex Lite in weiß (passt besser zu meinem Macbook ;) ) - hier bei Amazon bestellt, da mein Freund mein erstes Modell machmal auch gerne für Videoschnitt nutzt und ich außerdem meinen Angestellten die Möglichkeit bieten möchte, am Arbeitsplatz einen zweiten Monitor zu nutzen. Kurz zu mir: ich leite eine Musikschule und bin auch selber Musiklehrerin. Durch Corona habe ich viele Schüler hinzugewonnen, die nur Onlineunterricht machen möchten. Mit dem zweiten Monitor kann ich dann die Noten verfolgen, während auf meinem Hauptmonitor mein Videoprogramm läuft. Auch meine Angestellten nutzen die Funktion im Onlineunterricht oder auch im Präsenzunterricht, da man den Monitor auch wunderbar umklappen und den Monitor spiegeln lassen kann. Somit kann ich dem Schüler auch im Unterricht z.B. Noten in meinem Programm zeigen, ohne, dass sie neben mich in den Computer schauen müssen - den Abstand müssen wir schließlich auch noch im Einzelunterricht halten.

Pro: Ist sehr leicht und preislich völlig ok. Anbringen am Laptop-Rücken war super easy, hält auch gut. Bild ist ok, nicht sehr hell und kontrastreich, aber man kann mit den Bildschirm-Settings sowie Nvidia etwas nachhelfen. Negativ: Leider nach 4 Wochen kaputt! Gestern noch problemlos genutzt, nichts geändert und heute morgen will das Ding einfach nicht mehr angehen... Habe es an drei verschiedenen Laptops probiert, einige Neustarts, anderes Kabel probiert: Bild bleibt schwarz. Schicke es heute zurück und hoffe, ich bekomme mein Geld wieder. Echt schade!

The Duex Lite was an unexpected surprise that I didn't know I needed until I had it; after trying it out for the first time, I knew that I could not go back to using just a singular screen. I ordered the Duex Lite in the Cool White color (it also comes in a Deep Grey option), and I am so glad I did because its sleek and clean design fits perfectly with my MacBook. The dual screen securely attaches to my laptop with only four magnets (this involves permanently sticking magnets to your laptop). This fastening technology allows for better stabilization and attachment onto my laptop, the dual screen to slide, and the screen to be used on either side of my laptop. What’s even better is that these magnets are reusable, and if on the off-chance that your magnets detach from your laptop, there are extra stickers included that can easily be reapplied onto the magnets. The Duex Lite is lighter and more portable than the Duex Pro, definitely a pro of its design. It is able to hang onto my laptop without forcing the screen to fall forward or backwards. And its portability has definitely proved essential; being a full-time college student myself, I can count on this product whether I am working in my dorm, lectures, or the library because of how incredibly compact and practical it is. But its practicality is not limited to its portability— the screen can be utilized in various ways for a multitude of purposes. The Duex Lite can be propped up with a kickstand instead of attached to your laptop, used in portrait mode, or flipped 180 degrees to be in presentation mode. I have found the presentation mode to be particularly useful, especially in group project settings. This product allows me to be efficient with my work. For example, I can have an online lecture, zoom meeting, or eTextbook open on one screen while working on a few assignments on the other screen. This is definitely much easier than opening and shuffling among multiple tabs, a real struggle that resonates with many students. I am currently using this product on a 13-inch MacBook air with the M1 chip. The size of the product fits appropriately on the back of my laptop, and there weren’t any complications with the M1 chip and this hardware. The set up and installment process of this technology was easy to follow, but there were a few extra steps I had to figure out on my own when installing (probably because the M1 chip MacBooks differ slightly from other IOS devices). Also, I have the dual screen on the left side because the USB-C ports are on the left side on the newer MacBooks (it should also be noted that the cable provided can connect to both a USB-C and USB-A port). Since I placed my Duex Lite on the left side of my laptop instead of the defaulted right side, I had to rotate the screen, and that was do-able through the dual screen’s display settings. Other functions in the display settings allow for a bright display as well as different scaled resolution options. Overall, I have really enjoyed working with the Duex Lite and would definitely recommend it, especially to any student who is looking to work more efficiently.
