Cable Matters [Works with Chromebook Certified] USB C Hub Multiport Adapter with 4K HDMI, 2X USB 2.0, 480Mbps Ethernet, and 60W PD

After multiple tries trying various external port devices, I kept finding they were very questionable in terms of manufacture/security [vulnerability to BOT seizures]. I was so relieved to see that Google Chromebook did recommend affiliate devices [on Amazon] which they felt would do the job. To stream media you may need an external port for a Chromebook [HP] that offers slots for an Ethernet cable and TV HDMI. This was a great price and offered all the plug-ins needed, but it doesn't power-up when connected to HP Chromebook.

Does everything that it is supposed to do. I think that it is just a little too expensive.

Great product for 4k@60hz and 4:4:4 chroma.

I purchased this hub specifically because it supports 4k@60hz with only usb 2.0 ports. Why? Because my work laptop is a Dell Latitude 7400 that has a usb-c port that only does displayport 1.2 and HBR 2. This means that if using USB 3.0 ports the video is limited to 4k@30 Hz. This hub gives the ability to have 4k@60Hz and plug in a keyboard and mouse. Using a 65w PD charger and 100w cable it also able to charge the Dell laptop. I also use the hub with a Samsung Chromebook 2 and display and charging work perfectly. This hub allows the use of a cheap Hisense 4k 43R7G5 TV to work as an amazing computer monitor with a single USB-C connection.

Even though the Duet is not included in the list of 'Works with Chromebook' lists of devices , Cable Matters and myself were hoping it would because it was on ly 60W. Started with original power cable and charger then tried 5 other chargers. HDMI and wireless Mouse worked but did not power the CB duet, returning by UPS . I was very excited and hopeful so after 6 months of trying hubs... still have to either charge OR use non smart tv as monitor cannot do both.
