Using it for pellet stove

Bought this to replace a $120 APC brand surge suppressor (the strip type that sits on the floor) that failed after about 4 years. I find this design nicer as it's off the floor and the entertainment center can be closer to the wall due to the outlets being on the side vice the front. This in turn can prevent your cat from wedging herself in between the wall and the entertainment center and then becoming stuck - creating quite a ruckus at about 2:00 in the morning. Probably not a concern for most people. Note that the USB ports are on the front but I'm not using those. Also the "protected" and "grounded" lights are not visible anymore in my application but they worked when I plugged it in and I doubt the outlet will unground itself. I'll check the lights when I move the entertainment center for spring cleaning or cat toy retrieval. Overall a nice unit. The Joules rating could be higher but it's sufficient for an older TV and a DVR that's not mine.

I almost bought an extension cord because I was running out of outlets, but luckily, I found this beauty instead. It plugs into any three-prong outlet and includes two usb slots for chargers. It's a great product :)

When I go onto Amazon and specifically select purchase NEW product, I don't want someone's used sloppy seconds. The shipping package was great but the product box was opened, surge protector has scratches on the back, and the green light is very dim compared to the red grounded light. I guess I'll find out during our next lightning storm if it's really defective or not.
