Works as expected

The molex plug is a very uncommon plug nowadays but it's nice to have an adapter like this that can make old power supplies somewhat useful. FYI, This should be very safe to use because the molex plug is rated at 150 watts and the sata plugs are 75 watts. So, this splitter isn't doing anything dangerous.

SOme motherboards come with one power connector for SATA devices even though there may be multiple SATA connectors themselves. This can take a Molex (older design) power connector and make it into two. You motherboard or another power connector must have a free Molex connection for this to work.

They manufacture quality parts and devices. This 24 pin connector is no exception. I didn't request this from the Vine program for it's intended purpose, which is powering back-plane HDDs. I'm going to use it to power SATA connected computer LED controllers in order to bench test computer LED applications with a bench power supply. That way I can measure how many amps the lights use and plan my projects around amperage. I can also test Vine computer DC products with the bench supply before installing them into my computers (Such as light strips). The LED controllers will plug right into the StarTech SATA plugs.
