There is another review also highlighting the fact that this arm DOES NOT fit the Egrotron LX mounting system nor does it look like there are extensions available for sale from Ergotron or any other reseller that I've found. This product is too large and does not have the required threading to fix the Ergotron LX mount. I feel this needs to be highlighted in the main product description as I've not been able to find the Ergotron product is supposed to fit on the Ergotron website.

DOES NOT FIT my Ergotron Lx Dual Stacking Arm (B0036RDOT8). This pole is about 4mm too wide and lacks the required threading at one end. This pole needs to be better labelled with exactly which Ergotron products it fits. If any. The pole that came with my arm is a frustrating few inches too short to stack two 27" monitors one above the other. But I discovered that if I only thread the bar halfway at the bottom, attach the top arm halfway above the bar, tilt the bottom monitor and lay it flat on my desk they juuuuust fit. Less stable, but worth it for the desk space saved.

If you have the Ergotron DS100, as I do, with the standard mounting pole, and need to adjust the stand to increase the height, then this is exactly what you want - a direct replacement for the standard pole, just taller. Till I got this I was putting a box under the stand to get sufficient height and now I don't need to do that any more.
