We were using this in a room that did not have a GFCI switch. It kept tripping on us which made us realize we were overloading our circuit. Moved the item to another area with a built-in GFCI so we are returning this. It's quite heavy duty with a decent cord length but is a bit bulky for use indoors.

Bought this to plug everything from my saltwater aquarium into, it’s working good and handling the load put on it so far!

At my wife's place of work she has almost no time for lunch and definitely no time if she leaves her area. Her employers told her that she could not have her little refrigerator nor microwave because there was no GFCI in her office. From my work experience I knew of these handy little portable devices. They are somewhat pricey but worth the money, and should provide many years of service, convenience, and happy tummy for my wife. There are multiple brands and styles available, but I really like this one.

I am using this in my garage to have GFCI protection when using power tools. I have a 3Hp, 15amp, 120volt, 135psi air compressor plugged in to this device along with a fluorescent work table lamp, table fans and some battery chargers with no problems of either the circuit breaker or GFCI tripping. I was a little concerned at first that the GFCI plug gets rather warm when there is no load, apparently that is caused by the power supply for the GFCI circuit. Since I've had it plugged in since June, 2019 with no problems, my concern is waning.
