WD 22TB My Book Desktop External Hard Drive, USB 3.0, External HDD with Password Protection and Backup Software - WDBBGB0220HBK-NESN 22TB Single Drive

I'm happy with this 10 terabytes there was a bunch taken out for system resources no big deal transfer time was pretty quick from another external drive to this one mainly because the choke point was my hub which didn't have the pass-through rate I was hoping for but so far it is a little bit noisy though I will say this on initial startup or a boot up but overall read the other reviews there's a ton of them and some great videos as well but I'm happy

I use this to play music on my high end stereo through my Sony hapz1es. I was worried about the noise levels as these size drives can get noisy at the storage size goes up. I read online that this is the size Where Wd uses a gas to quiet the drive noise versus 10tb. A very light thud is audible during seek, but then is completely silent at my listening position of 10ft. Very happy and ample size that I will never outgrow.

Purchased 16TB External on November 2022 , I am using as raspberry NAS for 2 years , So far I happy with it , transferred lots of media files like everyday and speed is 112mb/sec as 1gb NAS , I don’t see any speed dropped even transfer huge file , Willing to purchase for another one soon .

I just needed extra storage for backup. And 16TB is a nice size. Price is acceptable. It’s read/write speed is pretty good. My only complaint is that this drive is loud. My other WD external drives don’t make noise. This one makes clicking, and writing sounds intermittently (click, click, wrrrrrrrr, click, wrrrrrrrr, wrrrrrrrr). Not sure why. Sometimes it’ll go off every 5min. Sometimes intervals are longer. And I’m not accessing the drive. I’ve had this for a few months now, and other than the noisy mechanics, it’s been working pretty good.
