Works exactly as advertised, no issues, and now plenty of storage for my PS5. At the time I bought it was great value for money. I got the 2 terabyte version, and it's been running like a top for months. If the price is good, go for it, as it is still one of the fastest out there. (written Nov 2023)

I just received the Samsung 980 PRO SSD 2TB NVMe drive. Installation on a new Alienware R15 configured with a primary 1TB NVNe drive containing Windows 11 OS and an empty NVMe slot right next to it was pretty simple. The Alienware comes with the upper attachment screw already present, so it was a simple matter of unscrewing it (and not dropping it into the PC innards with a magnetic screwdriver!) inserting the drive and refastening the screw. (The drive disk itself sticks out at an angle, so the screw angles the drive backward and secures it to the board). From there, Windows 11 requires it to be initialized via the Disk Management tool found by right clicking on “My Computer” icon, then Manage and Disk Management. A pop-up prompts you to initialize the drive, then you can right click on the new area that says Unallocated and select New Sample Volume. This opens an install wizard, where you can select your partition table format (new systems can use the GUID, GPT table) and drive letter. There were no issues with the installation and further tests indicate a fully operational NVMe drive.

Aproveché el descuento que se le aplicó a este SSD y lo compré para mi PS5, instalé varios juegos directo a este almacenamiento para ver su performance y la verdad que va de maravilla, más de lo que esperaba. Hay que tener en cuenta que aunque este SSD se menciona que puede tener una velocidad de lectura de hasta 7000 MB/s, una vez instalada en la PS5 este lo tomará a una velocidad de alrededor de 6600 MB/s, y no es por el producto en sí, si no por la consola (si mal no recuerdo lo menciona en la página del soporte oficial de Playstation) pero como lo mencioné antes, su performance es igual o poco superior al almacenamiento interno de la consola.
