After reading up on the hype and seeing the differences in price vs data transfer speed, this four terabyte monster came out on top. If you are looking for a HUGE space to store all of those Steam games you got on sale and keep promising yourself that you are going to play them…eventually. WELL This beast is for you. I’m not a heavy gamer or hardware nerd. What impressed me was its size or lack there of. It’s tiny, light, and can get pretty damn hot. But even an inexpensive enclosure works. I know because I bought one. But it takes up very little real estate on a desk. It’s easy as heck to us and set up, and wow is it fast. Even as a layman I noticed the difference. Fast, large, cheap. Moving large groups of files & full games around feels almost instantaneous. So for its price and speed this is definitely a good choice who wants an external hard drive that’s got blistering speed and that will be great for warming cold hands in winter, this is definitely the choice for you.

Works fantastic as an additional SSD. I usually opt for either Samsung or Crucial SSDs and this gets the job done. I added it as an additional SSD to my new laptop that only had a 500GB SSD by default. Now I can install a ridiculous amount of games at a time to both drives lol. Very easy install. Carefully take apart your laptop or get someone else to help (be mindful of warranties that may be void if you open the laptop), add in the SSD to its slot and close everything up, boot up your computer, open up Disk Management, select the new drive and select Initialize Disk.
