MSI Thin A15 B7VF-050CA 15.6" 144Hz Gaming Laptop, AMD Ryzen R7 7735HS, RTX 4060, 32GB DDR5, 1TB NVMe SSD, Windows 11 Home RTX4060/32GB/1TB

Admittingly this is my first laptop is over 10 years so wasn't sure what to expect. But so far everything has been running smooth haven't had any issues running any games, I like it so far.

Initially I was excited to get this laptop in my hands however that quickly changed when I finished installing win 11 pro and noticed that the GPU was running at base speeds incapable of overclocking and only has 4GB of VRAM which is a travesty. My 5 year old Radeon 5500XT easily outperforms the GPU in this laptop which is crazy but that's what having a larger VRAM will do for you and overclocking. Total power for this laptop is only 120 watts as per the power adapter where as models from Asus ship with 200 watt units and stomp this laptops performance for the same amount of money . Additionally it only has 1 USB C port which is only 3.2 gen 2 not thunderbolt nor is it USB 4.0 which similar priced Asus units come with either thunderbolt 4 or USB4 depending on if it's AMD or Intel based . All in all I have initiated a return very disappointed. Also the product page is so confusing it lists it as having a 4050 in some places when it actually has a 3050 4gb low power variant and it has 1 USB C 3.2 gen 2 where the product page lists it as USB C 3.2 gen 1 ? Very confusing

I was looking for a fast, reliable and lighter replacement for my alienware gaming laptop I bought about 5 years ago, and I found this perfect laptop. I'm a bit of a tech-savvy, so I'm a bit picky when it comes to getting the right computer. I needed a light portable computer for my travels, fast enough to handle gaming, fair disk space, and fair RAM, also one that can handle design software. So far, it appears this MSI checked all my needs. It's been 20 days since I bought it, no complaints so far! It got all I needed!

no lag when you play games like fortnite the harry poter game (hogwarts). I put the graphics at max and no bugs. the speed is super. the battery lasted me 4 hours in video conference work and 1h30 in games because the fan is running at full speed. I like the max fan speed option and being able to change the way your computer works on the f7. This is a good computer for gamers and work.
