This is very cool for what it is. However, I was under the impression that it is powered through your laptop and does not need an additional power source.. unfortunately, if you are in a café or a Barnes & Noble’s or airport, you do need additional plug in space for the monitor. As far as quality, it’s very functional for the price it is slim and light weight the brightness is they’re very cool I just wish I didn’t have too many things to plug-in. If you don’t mind it this is the one for you.

It’s perfect. Great quality, easy to use, and the magnets work like they’re supposed to.

This screen is brighter and sharper then others for the money. Very pleased.

I got this as a portable travel monitor so I could extend my laptop desktop. In addition, my kids can hook up their Nintendo Switches to it through the mini-hdmi, and play games on a large screen while travelling. It works and looks great. Plus, the cover is well designed and works well. Not a fan of the rocker switch, but it works and gets the job done. All-in-all, an awesome portable monitor at a great price.

UPDATE: The crappy design has reached next level failure today - since I crazy-glued the round magnets to the back of my lid and they can't keep coming off anymore, *TODAY THE MAGNETIC METAL STRIP ON THE ACTUAL MOUNT separated from the mount. And I discovered that it's attached with the same crappy adhesive gel that they send with the magnets that you're supposed to attach to your laptop lid. Looks like I'll have to get the crazy glue back out. Ugh. Original review: --- The idea is fantastic. The monitor itself is good quality. Here are the problems) 1) The main problem: the four magnets that you're meant to stick to your laptop's lid with the supplied 3M sticky glue DO NOT WORK. I tried scrubbing the lid with alcohol and even sandpaper to get a better stick, did it again and again. No matter what 1) at least one of the magnets would come off the laptop because the magnetic pull is stronger than the 3M "glue", AND/OR 2) the weight of the monitor would make the magnets slide down the lid over a few hours, leaving the whole thing at an angle. I contacted customer service - they said we'll send more magnets and stronger glue. Tried it - same problem. I finally ended up using 6 magnets instead of 4, glued on with Crazy Glue, to make it work. Worth it in the end, but what a hassle. My laptop is a normal Lenovo with no unusual circumstances - so the issue is simply that it's an inadequate design, and I see other people's reviews with the same problem. Hope they fix it for the next iteration. Buyer beware.
