Verdict: An extremely protective bag with limited capacity and an infuriating front pocket. Given its understated industrious look, this bag fits well with business casual and maybe even formal business attire. The material isn't glossy or reflective, and the distinct red logo draws attention away from the three stitching lines on the front. The faux leather corners is reminiscent of a vintage briefcase, adding to the austere and pragmatic appeal. As others have mentioned, in terms of looks, this bag definitely punches above its weight. I can't tell if the outer material is polyester or nylon. In either case, it's a heavy weave that feels rigid and extremely durable. The rigidity helps the bag keep its shape when empty, preventing it from collapsing into a pile of cheap fabric. The fabric is also water resistant. The stitching and zippers are run of the mill. I'm not a seamster so I can't comment on the quality of the stitching, but they look acceptable. The joint at the handles and shoulder straps appear to have plenty of reinforcements. The zippers aren't the smoothest, especially the one on the front pocket due to how stiff the fabric is. For such a thin bag, its compartments are amply padded. The layer that protects the outer pocket alone is at least half a centimeter thick, and every divider has its own additional padding. I have absolute confidence in the safety of my devices even if the bag is handled with moderate carelessness. However, the thick padding cuts into the already derisory storage space. About half of the main compartment is reserved for the laptop slot. Once you toss in a charger, a battery bank and a small notebook, there just isn't room for much else. When the main compartment is full, the front pocket can only hold very thin items like cables. Even wireless earphones may be a tight fit. With that said, these are just the compromises of such a slim bag. If you need to carry an umbrella or a water bottle, get a larger one. Contrary to how the bag is advertised. There's no organizational feature to this bag whatsoever. There are two fabric pockets in the main compartment and none in the front pocket. I would've liked to see a dedicated pocket for phones/wallet in the front compartment at least, maybe even a pen slot. Circling back to the zippers, the one on the front pocket is this bag's most glaring flaw. The zipper's teeth will grate against your hand like barbed wires whenever you reach inside. The problem is especially pronounced when the bag is full. I think this is because the zipper is arranged horizontally instead of vertically like on most other bags. How such an experienced manufacturer could have overlooked this aspect is baffling. I may return the item based on this issue alone. In conclusion, this bag is very well made for the price. If you only have minimal gear and have calloused hands, then yeah, it's decent.
