Plug is chunky, won’t fit in my ipad with the case on.

Works well. Very compact so easy to store and carry and great that the lead is incorporated into the body. But the short lead means it is a little awkward to fit into my computer and to insert the SD card when I want to transfer files. But that is not a big issue, given that it is very convenient to have that short lead incorporated into the body, so get the benefits there.

Nice and sturdy. Wish it was like a regular USB card reader.

This is the card reader you have been looking for, right here. It doesn't read some older card formats, but the ones it does read, it works perfectly. My old Sandisk reader stopped working, it was old enough that I think Windows 10 just did not recognize it, and even after trying to update the driver for it, it still was not recognized by the computer. I got a new computer a couple months back, and it's a business class computer, so it does not have a card reader built-in, and that put me on a quest to find a new card reader. After seeing all the reviews of other inexpensive readers that mention they overheat (and some that mention even melting memory cards), I decided to dig further and found this, an ACTUAL known name brand card reader from Verbatim, whom I'm very familiar with, so I went with this one. It works absolutely as advertised and I would not hesitate to suggest this reader to anyone who is looking to buy a card reader.

I have another Transcend USB3 adapter before but it was not reliable - copying multiple files to/from lead to some mismatch when I tried to do a file comparison. This caused errors during gameplay (on Switch). Data copied with the Verbatim Card Reader has been reliable so far, and it is faster than the Transcend USB3 adapter.
