I'm a long-time fan of some of StarTech products and SSD to USB adapters are among them. So, naturally, I've decided to buy a more expensive, but reputable piece of tech. And it delivers: works fine, the heavy, metal enclosure with a thermal pad is solid. What I can't wrap my head around is a bizarre choice of screw type. Not only do they use Torx but in two different sizes as well. And the enclosed screw driver fits only the outer one and was non-functional in my case. So, can recommend anyway, but check that you have nice ------T2.5 and T3.0 bits on hand-----. UPD: sorry for the misinformation. It's T5 screw all five of them (four on the bottom and one that holds the NVME). The enclosed screwdriver do fit, however it has a thin and slippery handle and the screws on the bottom are tight, so it made an initial impression that the driver is broken. Overall all works well, however, those screws bother me a bit.

Je recherchais un boitier pour mes sauvegardes, Mac et Pc, après avoir essayer une marque asiatique, j'ai finis par acheter chez star tech car j'ai rarement eu des problèmes avec. La ou je galèrais avec du yotamaster et j'avais meme peur d'avoir tué mon ssd, mon ssd4TO Western digital black lui a fonctionné directement dans ce boitier. Le seul problème c'est pour ouvrir celui ci, les vis micro étaient tellement serrée que j'ai tué deux tournevis. La dernière vis inoxydable j'ai du l'attaquer à la perceuse et un petit foret, j'aurais pus le retourner, mais pas le temps de m'en occuper , ca fera l'affaire meme si il n'est plus étanche maintenant.
