The B130-101-2 extends a VGA signal hundreds of feet away from the source, making it the ideal solution for digital signage applications in schools, churches, retail locations, tradeshow presentations and more. The B130-101-2 allows for the video source to be in a secure, remote location for controlled access while still delivering a signal to TVs, projectors and other devices in another area.

This kit includes units for both the source and display side of your application. Package includes: Local (Transmitter) unit 1 x 4.5 x 2.5 (in. ); Remote (Receiver) unit 1 x 2.5 x 3.5 (in. ); Mini-Screwdriver for EQ/Gain adjustment; (x2) Mounting Hardware Kits; (x2) External Power Supply (Input: 100-240V, 50/60Hz, 0.5A Output: 5V, 2A); and the Owner's Manual.

GREATER DISTANCE—GREATER FLEXIBILITY

When used with 24 AWG Solid Wire Cat5e/6 cable like Tripp Lite’s N022-01K-GY or N222-01K-GY, the B130-101-2 can extend a 1920x1440 (60Hz) signal up to 500 ft. or a 1024x768 (60Hz) signal up to 1,000 ft. This distance can be further expanded with the addition of B132-110 repeaters. Up to 3 repeaters can be connected, with the B130-101-2 receiver at the end of the chain, for a total of 4 sets of monitors. For maximum image quality between 500 and 1,000 ft. , use Zero-Skew cable such as Tripp Lite’s P524-01K.

The B130-101-2 features built-in image equalization, allowing you to control the way the image appears on your remote display. There are multiple equalization settings and the unit comes with a screwdriver for easy and convenient adjustment.

Tripp Lite tripped up

Purchased this product because of my high regard for Tripp Lite. The product worked well as we tested it during a 2 day period. The next day we needed it for a live production and it failed.

Works Great.

Works great for spitting/sending VGA signal over a long range. I had to add an additional display to my media display system and found I could daisy chain this off of a competitors product without any problems. It saved me hundreds of dollars because I didn't have to replace the old transmitters, just use their auxiliary port. I did have to tune it to get a good picture at first, but once dial in it looked as good as all of my other displays.

Only 5 things to know: 1. DO 2. NOT 3. BUY 4. THIS 5. PRODUCT

These are poor quality, "get what you pay for" VGA extenders. I would never suggest these to a friend, and certainly would not recommend using them in any business, church, or commercial capacity. We used these for our church to extend VGA to project hymn lyrics from a PC-based program to two projectors (thus, we had two sets of these.) One set went bad within months, and while Tripp Lite eventually sent out a warranty replacement, that process was a hassle. Now, the one set that was original has gone bad about 3 months out of warranty (so we got less than a year and 1/2 out of these when we were told they should last 5 to 10 years since we only use them about 1.25 hours per week), and the warranty one is starting to act up so we think it's about on its last leg too. Go with Gefen products for extenders. I'm confident if we were able to follow up one year later with some of the positive reviewers here they would change their tune. If you buy this product, you might as well look at it as rental cost, for about 12 to 18 months, tops, of vga extension, because they won't last longer than that and Tripp Lite doesn't back up their brand name on these. They also get too hot, and are overly sensitive to any RF interference. If you're going to go cheap, there are VGA extenders out there for cheaper than this. If you're going to go quality, look elsewhere.

Simply works

I am an AV professional. I purchased this product for small low budget show that I do, that has a very long run from computer to projector. Running a VGA cable, even with a DA, produced ghosting in the image. If you purchase the recommended Ethernet cable, this product works exactly as described. If you want better quality than this product then may i suggest that you first start with your source. Don't use VGA use DVI, and then run that down a fiber line. If you need or want to use VGA, then READ all of the material, hook up the product as recommended and you will be very pleased.

Work pretty well

Have it setup in an office environment, so I have it going from one office to another through the server room. The picture is a little degraded, but considering I think the total wire length is longer than the recommendation, I'd say this product works pretty well.
