I got this to keep it on my chain and carry a couple of tools I use on regular basis. The rubber cover is flimsy and after some use will start coming undone and eventually drive will get damaged. I hoped it would more sturdy than that. I cannot comment on the quality of the flash as it performed fine in my mostly read only use case.

Pros: - Tough - Slim - Light - Easy to put on a keyring - Decent initial performance and reliability - Inexpensive Cons: - After a couple of years of only occasional use, the filesystem (in my case, ext4 for use Linux) became read-only, and several files became corrupted. Apparently this is pretty common with inexpensive USB flash drives, especially if fairly full.

One of the tiniest usb drives I have seen for sale, very slim. The read/write speeds seem very slow for live boot OS. I asked if any buyers knew what the read/write speed was and the only buyer that replied just said that he didn't know... The question is sent to everyone, not you personally, so if you don't know the answer to a question then DO NOT ANSWER.

I bought this little device for the purpose of creating a bootable USB for my Dell Optiplex. It works great! First I formatted it for FAT32, added the boot files, then used it to upgrade my BIOS following Dell's driver update instructions. Works like a charm. If you create this as a bootable device, be sure to enable USB boot in your system BIOS before attempting any upgrade. I was surprised to find my USB boot disabled by default. This device is slender, has an opening for attaching a lanyard or key ring, and has an attached rubberized cover that slips over the port connection tip. The latter feature was important to me because I often carry these in a pocket or purse. Highly recommended.
