Tripp Lite 3U Rack Mount Storage Shelf SR16SHELF

My company bought one for their data center. I would like to have seen this device at a home user price instead of a corporate price. Being inspired by the one we bought for work I took the idea to a local community library where they have a 3D printer and one of the technology assistants and I worked up a base plate with keyhole slots and cable grommets and eyes in the base plate and the dividers themselves with tabs for the slots as printable objects. I then bought a standard 4U rackmount ventilated shelf and after printing the dividers and base plate (Took about two days and cost me $100 to use the libraries 3D printer) and drilling eyes at the front of the plate had a solution that would work for my 10 tablets with their covers on.

There is absolutely no reason this should cost so much money. It's just a piece of metal, with a few pieces of plastic. The space for cords is almost completely hidden behind whatever is situated underneath it on the rack. It doesn't even fit an iPad or small laptops like the ad says. Completely unreasonable and ridiculous. This should cost $50 tops. I'll be requesting a refund.

This is an awesome rack for Mobile devices. I would have given 5 star , if we had the following things 1, USB Hub hole should have been there in the Middle, Back and vertical panel as well. 2, Current size of the shelves is 15.5 in , it would have been better if its 14.5 , so that we can connect 30 devices two of these shelves the same area , in back to back .
