I have a heated desk so couldn't drill into it. I initially ordered a basket tray which did the job but did look cheap. As my plug socket needs increased I needed a wider tray, this is definitely more premium and looks good. It's also good to know I can extend the tray even further if needed. There are two negatives: - I don't like the big logo on it, should be more discreet - It hangs down a bit too low

You just bought/made a extra long sit stand desk, placed your electronics on it, and now have a giant cable mess. Easy enough you figure, you just need to find a Cable Management Tray that is long enough to match the length of your desk, does not damage the wood top (drill holes or tape residue), and provides a rigid, sturdy profile. Turns out, this is the only product that fits this niche need. Super simple to put together (8 screws), incredibly sturdy with around 20lbs of cable and power bar mess, and more importantly, it's a sleek profile on top and below the desk. There is enough distance between the bottom of the desk and the cable tray for power cables to plug in.

The metal is quit solid. Comes with 2 wood screws. No rattling sound once mounted to my Ikea counter top I use as a work desk. Be warn that the clearance is quite limited if you plan to have your power strip placed inside the case and you have power brick type plugs. I had to plug them in with the power strip out and shuffle it in after.
