I am a CAD professional. I have used a corded 3Dconnexion mouse for many years. This combo is plug and play with no setup or software to install. Only 1 USB receiver! Absolutely smooth 3D mouse. The only setting I changed was changing the 3D mouse to "object mode." Everything else works perfect at the default settings. CAD program needs to be open. Left-click the 3D mouse to get to the "advanced settings."

I use this mainly with creo, onshape, and solidworks. I’ve had it since the start of the semester and it’s given me unparalleled movement and feel in my cad movement. One of the great sins of creo is not having the cube in the top right corner to easily pick views (in my opinion) and not having to use that and having a replacement is fantastic. In assemblies it is super handy. I use the mouse on my iPad and the space mouse on my home computer with a different mouse.

Hello there, I've been learning to design objects using CAD tools; in the end, Rhinoceros 3D is the software I've chosen to learn, but I found my Apple trackpad needed to be up to the task. Enter the 3Dconnexion kit. The space mouse is fantastic to work with Rhinoceros, Prusa Slicer, Formlabs Preform Slicer, and Simplify3D. For some reason, I couldn't make it work with Cura and Bambu Studio but bear in mind that I'm not an expert. It does take a little bit of time to get used to the space mouse, but the regular mouse, even though mine is the mini, is all I wanted a mouse to be. Texture, weight, precision, functionalities, and speed are all spot-on. I had to lower the Spacemouse speed for better useability, but your mileage will vary. You have the speed control anyways to adapt it to your liking. All in all, I highly recommend this combo for any compatible 3D workflow. Thank you for reading!
