This specific model only allows for one tax rate to be stored, so if you need to calculate separate sales taxes (GST+PST vs HST or different tax rates in various jurisdictions), you may want to invest in a model with more memory. This 10-key also does not work without being plugged in, the battery is just for storing tax and memory information. Given the price, it's still excellent value and perfect for my needs.

This is a beautiful calculator. It's everything I thought I wanted. I came to the conclusion that you need some sort of special training to use it (rocket scientist?). The equals button did not do anything, and when I tried to subtract numbers, it would add them as though they were negative numbers. I thought it was defective, so I ordered a second one...same thing. I tried getting some technical help (because the "manual" which was a piece of paper, was useless). That person could not figure it out. So, I sent it back and I bought a Canon calculator. It's not quite as big and fancy, but it works. Good luck to anyone who buys one....

Needed a running total, didn't want to go to a paper roll adding machine. The display is easy to read and the plug in power source means never having to replace batteries or rely on a solar source. Love it!
