FORTINET FortiAP Indoor Wireless Universal AP - Tri Radio (2X 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, 4x4 MIMO, 1x 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wave 2, 2x2 MU-MIMO) (FAP-U433F-A)

I purchased this product (FAP-U431F) on 12/13/2023 under the impression that it would be "new". I received the product on 12/16/2023 in what appeared to be new packaging and went online to register the device. However, when registering the device, the manufacture, Fortinet, showed that the product's warranty had already expired on 12/09/2023. The "Warranty Support Start Event" showed that it was auto-started on 09/10/2023, 59 days on after ship date which would put the original ship date of the product on 07/13/2023. Now, as many of you reading this know, Fortinet will not help you without a valid subscription or warranty. I contacted them anyway to see if they were able to rectify the issue and they said I have to go through the vendor as they were the only ones that could resolve the issue. So I contacted the seller (BlueAlly) and requested more information about the device's history. They assured me the device was new and that they didnt know why it auto-started the warranty. They assured me that they contacted Fortinet and were awaiting a response to get the issue resolved (12/18/2023). Being that I purchased this device to replace an existing AP that went down, I followed up in the following days, 12/19/2023 and 12/21/2023 to make sure this issue was not forgotten. Unfortunately, today is 01/12/2024 and there is still no resolution to the issue and the the last message I sent the seller on the Amazon messages portal was on 01/06/2024. I suspect they are hoping that I will let it go and stop messaging them. I suspect I was sent a returned device that was originally shipped on 07/13/2023 and was led to believe the device was new per the sellers information on the page. While the device may in fact be new, I suspect something fishy happened with the transaction which resulted in receiving a "new" device without the manufactures standard warranty. Buyer beware.
