I don't normally write reviews, but this thing hasn't had much reviews yet, and I wanted to say that its working perfectly as expected, with no fuss. I had trouble finding a KVM that would support my 4k@144hz monitor, and this is doing the trick flawlessly. Not only that, but its also working with my webcam. The reason I had gone with this model is because StarTech was the only company whose customer service actually answered me promptly when I was inquiring about this. The other KVM switch I had bought which did not function correctly didnt even have customer service that would pick up the phone. This is pricey, but you get what you pay for in life. A few small critiques: 1.) would be nice if it came with a remote toggle. Its fine for me since I have a place on my desk for this, but for others you might miss not having this 2.) it wasn't totally clear that cables are _not_ included. You will need to buy the DisplayPort male to male connectors if you dont have them. You will also need some USB male type A to male type B connectors. If you dont have these laying around, be sure to purchase them too. Its a fresh setup, so I am hoping for the best. If this starts to malfunction, I will update this review. For now though, very happy!
I just upgraded from the DisplayPort 1.2 version of this same exact dock due to a monitor upgrade, and it works flawlessly. In fact, the old dock I had to go out and purchase a DisplayPort signal booster on the cable going from the monitor to the KVM, but this new one it works flawlessly without it. I am running at 5160x1440 at 240Hz, 10-bit, and it handles it no problem (DSC?)? Regardless, yes this is expensive, but it actually works. If you work from home and use the same setup for personal/gaming use as you do for work, pull the trigger....you wont regret it.
