OPN Sound OS4000BL Dashlyte Bluetooth Bone-Conduction LED-Neckband Headphones with Microphone, Black

All bone conducting headphones lack it in sound quality and these are in line with others I have tried. Great for workouts and when you want to have something playing but still maintain awareness of the things going on around you. The only real downside is the single button to control everything. Not each to make it work to what you need.

This review is for the Dashlyte Open-Ear Bone Conduction wireless headphones (comes with carrying bag and charging cable). I've been looking for a pair of inexpensive cordless headphones that don't hurt or fall out of my ears. I don't know much about open-ear bone construction but decided to try them based on design and features. First, these are quite comfortable - they sit forward of the ear (not in the ear - so great for me) and are not tight across the back of my head with the connection piece (my husband also tried them on and they fit him without discomfort). The single control button is easy to find when wearing and the connection piece behind the head can light up or not (a plus for using in the dark). I was able to use most of the functions but because of the single button, you have to train yourself on the number of "presses" for each function. This is really annoying - especially for volume up (2 presses) and down (3 presses). The call answering / hanging up and the music pause and restart are all a single press. I did get some reports on phone calls that I sounded far away or in a cave but was able to adjust the headphone position / volume to get improvement. My bluetooth connection (from Galaxy S10 phone) was within the stated range and was clear until I was near the boundary (then a few cut-outs and crackles). The music was OK sounding for me - but people that value a good music sound may want to look elsewhere. Noise canceling is not an important feature for me - so I don't have any feedback on this and I didn't use the voice assistant - another different press of the button to access. These headphones will get light use from me (not every day and primarily for longer phone calls and listening to audio when I don't want to disturb those around me). So despite the comfort, I'm marking these at 3 stars - the interface with the single button is really poor and the sound quality isn't great for the price. From a value standpoint, there are other Open-Ear headphones on Amazon - both less expensive and more expensive, so it really comes down to the features, functions and how you plan to use the headphones.

Absolutely love this Dashlyte headphone set! This is my first experience with open ear bone conduction and I’m shocked by how clear and rich the sound is. I wear hearing aids and sometimes listen to music or podcasts with them so I am real critical of sound quality in other devices. These live up to other in-ear devices, and are better than many. Clear sound for music as well as podcasts. In my case, though, ear buds simply fall out of my ears if I bend over. I love the freedom of movement with these Dashlytes. I’m not crawling on the ground looking for an ear bud on dog walks. If I am picking up a poop, I’m picking up an ear bud. No more. The function button on the right ear is intuitive and responsive, easy to pause discretely when neighbors visit on my walks. They are light and secure for gardening and cleaning too. They work better under a ponytail for me because the wire gaps. Very happy with my new go to headset, especially for Summer!

This review is for Dashlyte Open Ear Bone Conduction Headphone. One thing I didn't like off the bat is that there's only a single button for control so anything outside of turning on and off is going to take some memorizing. I just said "forget it" and just used phone controls instead. 2nd problem is there's some distortion going on in the left ear and this is with the volume in the medium range. This is limited to the left ear and I'm assuming this is a problem with my copy. I've tried it with 2 devices so it's definitely the headphone.

I like bass in my music, but I know how damaging that is to my ear drums. These aren’t in my ears, but they produce the cross highs and the deep lows without actually being in my ears! Very strange how the sound is produced through these interocular devices!
