One of the Most Comfortable Keyboards I've Ever Used

I love this mechanical keyboard. I love that its wired too and I don't have to worry at all about latency (a delay between hitting a key and having it register.) I shouldn't crosstalk, but I find the video from the reviewer who recorded the sounds of the keys clicking a hoot. I do get a bit of a squeak from the backspace key, but I find I can eliminate that sound entirely if I'm careful where I hit it. But it doesn't bother me much so mostly I ignore it. The sounds made by the longer keys, in general, stand out a bit because all the other keys are super smooth and relatively quiet. The spacebar key, for example, does click more than the others, but I've never known one that didn't. I think it has to do with where the mechanical register is under the key in relation to the edges and ends of it. I guess it's hard for anyone to remember now what electric typewriters used to sound like. They were a lot closer to the sound of a snow blower than anything on this keyboard, so maybe I'm more easily satisfied. I love the soft wrist rest. I try to keep my wrists and the heels of my hands off it while typing, except for now and then, but its so comfortable to rest on in between sentences, and helps keep my fingers right on the home keys making it so it's easy to start typing again. I haven't used any of the extras, like controlling the sound or navigating the internet. The options for height control and tilt are superior to any other keyboard I saw on Amazon or any that I've ever owned. That's big, for me. No backlighting, alas, but I could always hang a disco ball over my desk. I'm just a simple soul who was just looking for a really comfortable, solidly made, robust feeling, and nice looking keyboard and this one fills the bill. (I can't decide whether it's funny or insane that, in the reviews of some keyboards, they get a 4 1/2 star rating, on average, but the thing the reviewers most often criticize is how the keys work. So did they buy them for the volume controls? For me, that's either a serious hit to Amazon reviewer's credibility or to the AI program Amazon is using to summarize the reviews. The old time Jazz musician Bix Beiderbecke got a summer gig in the Catskills and bought a car to get around the rural roads. It soon broke down and he never fixed it. In the mornings, he'd use the rear view mirrors to shave in. His friends would ask why he didn't get rid of it, and he'd say, "Oh, well, in the country one simply MUST have an automobile!" I'm sure he'd have given that car 4 1/2 stars, too.)

Laptop quiet

My daughter has misophonia and a lot of sounds make her anxious/upset - keyboard sounds are irritating to a lot of people, but it is 100x worse for those with misophonia. We were on a hunt for a quiet keyboard and this has been the best so far that's also affordable. It is laptop quiet. As always, the spacebar and backspace are the loudest keys but not too bad. I am just about to buy a second one to replace my husband's Redragon K503 RGB Gaming keyboard because this one is even quieter. I'm so happy to have found this keyboard and do recommend!

The best slim keyboard

I'm on my 4th because I keep spilling beer on it but I'll continue to replace it with this same model. The separate media keys without the need for F or fn keys are fantastic. Feels quality, good value.

Glitchy

This keyboard is glitchy. Examples include inability to capitalize certain letters (does not register keystroke when Shift key is pressed) and muting the speakers at random (daily). I use Caps Lock to work around the first glitch, which takes some getting used to after using the Shift key to capitalize since I first learned to type. The sound issue has been disruptive - I've actually missed important points in meetings when the keyboard randomly mutes the speakers.

Perfect work keyboard

My wife is a writer and loves this keyboard. It has a great tactile experience and the noise level is low ithout being silent. We've ordered two more for work.
