Premium dock for up to 2 Hard Drives 2.5" or 3.5 inch" SATA or SSD. Button to clone with an indicator of the status. This rest a dock in plastic but the mechanism inside to secure the disks is in aluminum, so this is solid compared to other dock I tried. I've sent it back as I was looking for a way to save a failing hard drive and unfortunately it didn't suited my needs as I don't have several one to justify the cost.

Once set up and did practice run it worked well. Much quicker than via USB or network system. Good investment for the future. Easy to set up but you do need to read the full instructions.

Utilizzato esclusivamente in modalità stand-alone mi ha permesso di clonare con soddisfazione gli SSD che i i più blasonati sistemi software non riuscivano a fare. A corredo, oltre l'alimentatore 12V - 3A due cavi USB 3.1 uno di tipo B e l'altro di tipo C. L'unico neo (anche se poco chiaramente riportato nel manuale d'uso) è la lentezza: per clonare un SSD con win10 e qualche applicazione da 512 GB ha impiegato circa 1 ora e 45 minuti. Per la cronaca ho provato a clonare un SSD di un sistema raid 5 ed ha funzionato egregiamente. In ogni caso, a parte il tempo di lavorazione, sono molto soddisfatto.

I used this to clone the 4TB drive of my home-built OpenMediaVault NAS. It worked perfectly! The old drive is now a snapshot/backup and the new drive is working beautifully. The unit paid for itself because its cost plus a new 4TB HDD is the same as a 1 year Google Drive subscription of only 2TB! Plus, I will get at least 3 years out of the new drive before I need to clone another one.

Startech.com il Top del Top, veramente, lo e' sempre stato, e lo sara' per sempre !!! , ma stavolta non ha raggiunto il mio obiettivo. Dovevo clonare un HDD delle vecchie Xbox 360 sapendo gia' che non era possibile perché Microsoft non hai mai supportato SSD sulle Xbox 360, ma comunque volevo fare una prova , sapendo che questo prodotto clonava intere partizioni MBR ,GPT , cluster nascosti etc... speravo che mi risolvesse il problema. Ovviamente conoscendo la startech.com che crea prodotti professionali superiori ad altri , ho dato per scontato che riuscisse anche in questo, ma invece non e' stato cosi' , dopo fatte varie prove con questo duplicatore , non riesce ad eludere neanche lui le norme di sicurezza di casa Microsoft per poter installare un SSD sostitutivo interno su le console Xbox 360 e One. Molto dispiaciuto per questo. Ho provato ad usarlo con Windows etc... ed il dispositivo corrisponde perfettamente alla descrizione del prodotto ed e' anche molto veloce .
