QNAP QM2-2P10G1TB Dual M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe SSD & Single-Port 10GbE Expansion Card

Great solution to make most out of limited PCIe lanes/slots. Fits in compact systems, unlike the extra long Synology card. Unless you really need m.2 cards in 22100 length, I'm not sure why anyone would choose that big of a card. I put this qnap card into an HP t740 thin client, installed proxmox 8 on a mirror of the drives I installed on the card. Proxmox boots off of the drives on the card no problem and recognizes the 10G nic out of the box. Haven't tested for an extended period yet, but so far the only negative is the fan noise being somewhat annoying, just like the qnap 4-port nic card I had previously. As for price, when you consider prices of a standalone 1 port 10g nic + m.2 card with an active pcie switch, it's not too bad either.

HPE removed PCIE bifurcation support from the later BIOS of my server. It comes handy with dual M.2 and 10G Ethernet in one go. Recognized automatically by UnRAID and the fan PWM worked as intended.

The card is overheating with the 2 samsung NVME on it, and as such I have the 10G port randomly going disconnect. When the 2 NVME are not used as cache, the 10G port is stable. I use the heatsink they provided so this is a design problem.

If you need ao 10Ge card and the ability to add two m.2 drives this is a great card. It comes with heat sinks for the m.2 drives and brackets for full and half height.
