Nexstar M.2 NVMe SSD to USB 3.2 Gen2x2 20G Type C Enclosure (NST-220C3-SG)

I was happy with the build quality and ease of installation with it's toolless design. However, after connecting a P41 Platinum (4th gen nvme), I'm getting no more than 1,000Mbps when it's supposed to be double that. Changing cables, computers, and using a Samsung PM9A1 unfortunately didn't change the result.

I’ve been using this enclosure for about 6 months now with no issues. I use it as my game drive with lag at all. Read and write speeds are fast.

If your computer supports USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (20Gbs) you WILL experience those speeds with this device. Caution, it gets VERY VERY HOT. Love the outer shell - it feels thick and durable. I do NOT like the sides, as they COULD have made a product more indestructible and either water proof or water resistance, but did not. You can see cracks of space on the ends. The plastic piece on the connector end feels super cheap and stupid. The cable that comes with it is also cheap quality, but it works. The most annoying thing was the teeny tiny little switch you have to move slightly left to install the NVMe, and then move slighty towards the right to close. I've seen WAY better mechanisms for this. At least they give you a spare one in case you break the one that comes with it. And believe me, unless you can read the instructions, you MIGHT actually break the little piece, or your NVMe if you think you're just supposed to press harder. READ the instructions carefully. But in the end, I'm happy with the speeds. It just could be a better product in certain areas.

Upgrades in regards to memory storage, especially when used as an external boot, are always a primary concern. This enclosure had absolutely no problems, was very affordable, and arrived speedy quick. It was used with a Solidigm P41 Plus 1TB SSD, PCIe GEN 4 NVMe 4.0 x4 M.2 2280 3D NAND stick having no compatibility issues, and living up to the posted max speeds

This disassembled and installed easily enough. The plastic anchor was easy enough to figure out, and there was a spare. I put in a WD 750, which is faster than the 2GB/s this enclosure can do. On the first test, I got over 2.1GB/s. I used the front USB on my X670E-E Asus Strix. So, this enclosure performs as it should. I replaced a 10Gbps enclosure, so this is 2x faster. It uses the Asmedia chip, which is who makes AMD chipsets now, so compatibility is going to be great.
