EXCELLENT VALUE FOR AN AFFORDABLE SSD

This is a good quality, dependable nvme SSD. For the money (I got mine on sale for $121 CAD), I don’t think you can do better. I use my Crucial 2TB P3 nvme as a secondary storage drive - I’m not writing to it constantly so I’m not concerned about its modest endurance rating. Mind you, 450 TBW is quite a good endurance rating for a budget drive, and crucial tends to be very conservative with their ratings, erring on the side of caution. Let’s be honest, a budget-friendly drive like this is NOT intended to be a power user’s main system drive; for those folks, a high end NVME, such as a Samsung 990 Pro, would be the better choice. However, general desktop users, or those who need a reliable, decent secondary storage drive, will find the Crucial P3 to be a very, very good option. It consistently hits its advertised speeds and remains at a healthy, safe operating temperature. And certainly, the P3 can be used as a system drive in any PC that’s used for general day-to-day computing (web surfing, simple games, email, household accounting, and so forth). I’m planning on replacing the 1TB WD SN550 NVME in my elderly Mother’s computer with one of these. I’m not cheap, but I am kinda “finacially-challenged” so I always do my research and weigh the pros and cons of competing products. I think it’s fair to say that the two top SSD makers is Samsung and Crucial, where Samsung tends to usually be a bit more expensive. For SATA SSDs, I always favour Samsung’s EVO 860/870 drives. Notwithstanding, Samsung’s nvme Pro drives are typically a good bit pricier than Crucial’s offerings, and really don’t seem to be any more reliable or performance guaranteed. Since my system was built in late 2020, it is constrained to gen 3 nvme/PCIe. As such, I can’t take advantage of the latest 6000+ MB/s gen 4+ speeds anyway. I have a Crucial P5 Plus (2TB) installed as my main system drive. It’s by far the BEST (affordable) choice for a (Crucial brand) nvme system/boot drive. The P5 Plus has a high endurance rating of 1200 TBW and very respectable speed ratings (6600+ MB/s). Of course, my gen3 bus can’t realize those speeds, but it has no trouble consistently maintaining 3500 MB/s. I do quite a bit of music production. I use a lot of LARGE multi-gig Kontakt and UVI sample libraries. As such, I need FAST and reliable read speeds, and conservative operating temperatures. The Crucial P3 (2TB) has been functioning perfectly for me for these tasks. My Gigabyte AORUS motherboard has excellent built-in m.2 heatsinks, so my two Crucial nvme SSDs never throttle and seem to perform at their peak levels consistently and reliably. In a nutshell, the Crucial P3 is a very, very good NVME SSD for the money. It is respectable as a system drive for basic computing, and is outstanding value when being used as a secondary storage drive.

Original waren 128GB, was absurd wenig ist.

Big and Fast.

After reading up on the hype and seeing the differences in price vs data transfer speed, this four terabyte monster came out on top. If you are looking for a HUGE space to store all of those Steam games you got on sale and keep promising yourself that you are going to play them…eventually. WELL This beast is for you. I’m not a heavy gamer or hardware nerd. What impressed me was its size or lack there of. It’s tiny, light, and can get pretty damn hot. But even an inexpensive enclosure works. I know because I bought one. But it takes up very little real estate on a desk. It’s easy as heck to us and set up, and wow is it fast. Even as a layman I noticed the difference. Fast, large, cheap. Moving large groups of files & full games around feels almost instantaneous. So for its price and speed this is definitely a good choice who wants an external hard drive that’s got blistering speed and that will be great for warming cold hands in winter, this is definitely the choice for you.
